| A Message from the President |

“Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.” Jeremiah 15:16 These words of the prophet Jeremiah are not only taken from the Holy Scriptures, but it invokes the desired response of the searching saint. It also reflects in a more pointed way, the desired effect of the New Life Bible Institute Missionary Training School. Since its inception, this ministry has sought to bring each person who comes to the school, to have this same deep-seated satisfaction in the Word of God. Having now crossed the threshold of a quarter of a century of existence, we still today hear the testimonies of those whom God has caused to drink the truth of His word from the cup of the Lord. The spirit of the Bible Institute has not wavered from the vision of the founder, the Reverend Dr. Timothy E. Ruffin. We have been used of God to be a beacon of light for the Christian who wants to see his way. Our mandate and our message have been consistent. We are to teach, train, and equip the saints to do the work of the ministry. Though we are a Bible institute, we have not allowed ourselves to be “institutionalized;” that is existing in name only, but we retain relevancy or spiritual vitality. Our acronym NLBIMTS has within each letter and the words they represent a calling and the nature of who we are. The commitment of Sister Betty A. Ruffin, the staff, faculty and alumni has enabled us to share an eternally, invaluable word, but without a tuition cost to those who come. May we not rest on our laurels, but instead continue to persevere, for the time is short and the day is at hand. Keep on keeping on until He comes. |
